Meet Data Science Lab´s team
The Data Science Lab at the Universidad de San Andrés is composed of researchers with distinguished academic backgrounds in their respective disciplinary fields, boasting internationally recognized research work published in prestigious journals.
Senior Researchers and Professors Marcela Svarc and Daniel Fraiman lead the Lab overall direction. Both have founded and lead the Master's in Data Science program, actively contributing to its teaching.
Additionally, they possess extensive research expertise in both theoretical and applied complex data modeling, with applications spanning various knowledge domains.
Professor and affiliated researcher Lucas Fernández Piana serves as the Lab´s Academic Director. His research focus is on statistics. He also has experience in both theoretical and applied data modeling, primarily within the fields of biological and meteorological applications.
Magdalena María Badaraco, with an extensive prior trajectory at the Special Projects area of the Universidad de San Andrés, is the executive director of the Lab. Her career includes a notable trajectory in third-sector organizations, specializing in strategic development and project implementation, featuring a robust component of coordination across the public, private, and third sectors.
