María Guadalupe Martínez Alles is Professor of Law at Universidad de San Andrés. Her scholarship draws on insights from modern cognitive and social psychology and an economic and comparative perspective to explore problems in tort law, consumer law, and punitive damages. She holds a J.D. summa cum laude and an LL.M. degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba as well as an LL.M. and J.S.D. degree from Yale Law School. She was an Assistant Professor of Law at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, a Visiting Researcher at Yale Law School, and a Research Fellow at the UNC Secretaría de Ciencia y Tecnología. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a law clerk for a District Court Judge, as a legal advisor for an Agency for Investment and Development Projects, and as a legal advisor at the Washington D.C. office of the Inter-American Development Bank.
