DEGREE EDUCATIONAL PROPOSAL  

At Universidad de San Andrés we offer the type of education we consider to be paramount for a XXI century graduate. It has to do with a general education, targeted at a graduate’s profile that is able to reason and bring forward proposals. We place emphasis on critical thinking development and on questioning both others and personal ideas. We teach our students that to think correctly also means to take into consideration the community they belong to and the global dimension in which they are placed.

FOUNDATION SUBJECTS

In order to provide this type of education, we follow a syllabus that begins with a Foundation Subject Cycle that is the same in all of our degree orientations, an unusual practice in the Argentine university system. Such Cycle includes humanistic and science-based subjects that are the foundations of a solid education, which prevent from being categorized and provide the student with the necessary tools for taking their orientation decision with intelligence and with no haste.

ORIENTATION CYCLE

Our degree educational proposal is followed by an Orientation Cycle in which, over that base, the discipline concept approaches that each student had chosen are highlighted. Throughout all these years, the University has fostered both team work among students and the constant dialogue between them and teachers, since it is through a fluid communication that all thoughts and all innovative initiatives have successful results.
