Sebastián García-Dastugue es Profesor Asociado y Director del Departamento Académico de Administración de la Universidad de San Andrés en Buenos Aires, Argentina, y miembro del equipo de investigación del The Global Supply Chain Forum, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. Sebastián realiza investigación aplicada para mejorar las prácticas de management en áreas tales como relationship management, supply chain management, análisis de valor generado, sistemas de información, logística, y coordinación de actividades en la cadena de abastecimiento. Sus trabajos fueron publicados en Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Logistics, y The International Journal of Logistics Management, y como capítulos de libros en marketing y en supply chain management. También, ha sido expositor en varios países de Australasia, Europa, Norteamérica y Sudamérica. El Dr. García-Dastugue recibió los siguientes reconocimientos: Jack and Mary Lambert Ph.D. Scholarship Award (2001); Pace Setters Award, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University (2002); Third SCMRC University of Arkansas Dissertation Proposal Award (2002); y Sheldon B. Ackerman Award to the Outstanding Paper (2003). Sebastián tiene más de 10 años de experiencia corporativa trabajando para Ryder Argentina, Cementos Avellaneda, Solutions Informatiques Françaises, y Sud America Seguros. El Doctor García-Dastugue es Licenciado en Sistemas de la Universidad CAECE, MBA del IAE – Universidad Austral, ambos obtenidos en Buenos Aires, Argentina y también posee un Ph.D. en Administración de Empresas de The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, EE.UU.

Investigación en curso

Sebastián continua desarrollando proyectos de investigación en sus áreas de especialidad. En relaciones cliente-proveedor, sigue trabajando en el desarrollo de relaciones de alto rendimiento (partnerships) y desarrollo de estratégias de servicio al cliente. En el área de integración de departamentos (o áreas funcionales) dentro de la empresa, continúa trabajando en describir el rol de cada área funcional de la empresa en equipos de multifuncionales. En el área de logística, Sebastián dirige un proyecto de cómo medir el valor de la logística más allá de la reducción de costos.
